What are you doing to help minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19?

At this time ALL deliveries/pickups are COMPLETELY CONTACTLESS. The person creating your order wears gloves and a mask during all elements of production (baking, decorating, wrapping). Temperature checks are done before any order production. Pretty Pops is a home based bakery, so any suspected risk of COVID within the baking vicinity will warrant an immediate order cancellation. Pretty Pops will absolutely not compromise your health for a buck. Please be flexible with us as we manage these changes, as there may be abrupt/last minute cancellations. No order can be 100% guaranteed while COVID precautions are implemented. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, beginning September 1, 2019 there is a 5 dozen cake pop/cake ball order minimum. This excludes any seasonal flavor specials (i.e. pumpkin, salted caramel, chai, etc) and this exclusion will be explicitly stated in these promotions.

Why did you stop making custom shaped cake pops?

Over the last 9 years, we've evolved into a business that focuses on what we do best - bulk orders for large events and corporations. Pretty Pops is happy to refer you to bakers that continue to do molded, sculpted, and/or highly detailed cake pops!

Where are you located? Do you have a storefront?

We are a home based bakery located in Cypress, Texas. We do not have a storefront at this time. We offer FREE delivery on orders over $50 in 77429 and 77433!

Do you offer cake pop products that I can use to market my company?

Absolutely! Not only do we make cake pops to match your company colors, we also create custom labels using your logo! Cake pops and cake balls are an excellent and unique way to market your business to clients. We have worked with many local corporations, credit unions, and non-profit organizations. Do you do weddings?

Yes! Cake pops also make excellent, unique wedding favors. Please make sure your venue allows outside cake vendors prior to requesting a quote for cake pops/cake balls for your wedding day.

What are cake pops?

Cake pops are a unique way to display treats at your event. Cake is baked, cooled, crumbled, and mixed with frosting to create a “dough-like” consistency. Each cake pop is hand rolled then dipped in a sweet coating of your choice!

How is payment processed?

We complete all invoicing through PayPal, you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay your invoice. We do accept cash and credit/debit card, however the PayPal portal is our preferred method of receiving payment.

Do cake pops need to be refrigerated?

Maybe - if you don’t eat them right away. We recommend leaving them on the counter top and out of direct sunlight until the time of your event. Many of our customers who pick up their cake pops a few days in advance prefer to refrigerate them to preserve freshness. Refrigeration is not required, though, if you are consuming them within 48 hours of pickup/delivery.

If you choose to refrigerate your cake pops, please take them out of the fridge at least 2 hours before party time so that they can come to room temperature.

What is the difference between cake pops and cake balls?

Just the stick! The process of creating Pretty Pops is the same for both forms of treats.

Are cake pops raw dough?

Nope. Cake pops are simply crumbled cake mixed with frosting then rolled up into sweet perfection. They are deemed a non-potentially hazardous food by the State of Texas and are therefore legal for Cottage bakers to sell to the public.

How do I reserve my event date?

Contact us at Pretty Pops and we will create a custom invoice for you. Orders are NOT reserved or booked until you have received a PayPal invoice from us. Email quotes and replies do not reserve your order.

How long have you been in business?

We started Pretty Pops in September 2011 when the Texas Cottage Food Law was passed. We have made thousands of cake pops and cake balls for people all over the Houston Metro area.

Do you ship?

No, we operate under the Texas Cottage Food Law which states that home bakers may NOT ship their products.
